Player of the Week – Glenton Williams

At 20 years old, hailing from the Jennings and Ebenezer Community is the tall left arm spinner who is playing in a league of his own. Glenton Williams is simply a class above the rest. Here are just a few of his accolades achieved for the season.

He made his debut for the Antigua and Barbuda Senior Mens Team and was their leading wicket-taker collecting 13 wickets in 3 games. In the Cool & Smooth T20 Competition, he collected 14 wickets at an economy rate of 4.98 an over. He then played an essential role for the Rangers by collecting the most wickets (17) of the Joma Caribbean T10 Competition which assisted them to win the title.

Finally, he is now the leading wicket -taker in the ABCA Two Day Competition with 41 scalps at 9 runs per wicket, a best of 8 for 28 and 5 five wicket hauls after five rounds. On the weekend, in a round south derby versus neighbors Bolans Blasters he snapped up 8 wickets for 28 runs in the first innings and returned to collect 8 more for just 38 runs. He had crazy match figures of 16 for 66 runs. Saying he is a good player is not enough; he is performing at a level second to none. He is a very special talent from round south and one to watch in the future. With all that said, Mr. Glenton Williams is our Player of the Week! We wish him continued success for the rest of the season.
